Breastfeeding is the normal way to feed and nurture our babies. Babies are born with all the instincts and reflexes necessary to find their way to the breast, latch on and nurse.
However, like most things in life, there can be a learning curve for both mom and baby. Many of us grow up having never seen a child breastfeeding, combined with primary health care providers who may have received little to no education about breastfeeding, it’s not difficult to understand why for many new moms, breastfeeding isn't as easy as they had expected.
The good news is, that even with a difficult start, it is almost always possible to get breastfeeding back on track with good help and support.
